The process begins with a ¼" thick MDF panel, a durable composite wood board, from which the center is cut out to create the 1 3/4" face of the frame. This technique ensures there are no joints at the corners, resulting in a clean, uninterrupted design.A second wooden frame is then affixed to the back of the MDF panel, creating the space needed for the glass, matting, and other components. This frame also features our user-friendly "pivot clip" back, making it easy to secure your cherished photos or artwork.The Metro Seamless Frame is meticulously finished with a smooth lacquer in either a classic black or crisp white finish. Unfinished versions are also available as custom orders. The understated design of the frame is intended to enhance, not overshadow, the artwork it holds, a hallmark of all Framatic frames.The frames are equipped with holes in the clips on the back, which are permanently riveted to the 1/8 hardboard that forms the back, allowing for easy hanging. Additionally, frames up to 8 x 10 include our unique easel leg system for stable tabletop display. Please note, the frame's dimensions are an additional 3 inches overall to the photo/glass size.
